[Solved] - No sound after sleep ALC 892 / El Capitan / Clover

Hi everyone,

After El Capitan installation audio didn't work and I install CloverALC110 script, after that audio working but didn't work after sleep.

My mobo: GA-H87N ALC 892, I also tried to copy CodecCommander.kext to EFI/CLOVER/kexts but no changes.

Any solution?

Thanks

I have the same issue as you, though I am using ALC898.

I tried all possible fixes, but none worked

I got the same issue with the ALC 892 and I'm unable to find the solution!
Using the clover New way "FIX_WAK" didn't solve the problem.

I tried again fix problem with CodecCommander.kext and seems it works! :D
CC didn't work from EFI/CLOVER/kexts, just install CodecCommander.kext with KextWizard on System partition System/Library/Extensions, rebuild cache and restart

Worked here with El Capitan.

Got it to work on Ga-H97n Wifi
Thanks

It fixed my problem where I had audio after I would reboot, but once the computer went to sleep and I turned it back on, the sound output would stay stuck on what it last was. Like if I was playing music through my speakers, then let the computer go to sleep, then I wake it and plug in my headphones, the option in the sound settings for headphones wouldn't appear and it would only show my speakers output until I would reboot (the speakers audio would still work though). Hard to explain, but now works as normal once I put the codec commander kext in extensions.

What system definition are you using? I have the same sound chip and with iMac 14.1 I am having trouble...

I managed to solve this just by using the Mac Pro 3.1 system definition. It solved the problem right away, i don't even use codec commander.

Wish id tried it sooner.

I've tried CodecCommander (2.4.0) but audio seems to reset after only one wake. For the second wake, audio dies after a few second of waking.

I'm quite sure CC is properly loaded:

107 0 0xffffff7f824b1000 0x6000 0x6000 org.tw.CodecCommander (2.4.0) 7134FF3E-A6B0-36CE-9817-D33B255AD9E7 <75 12 4 3 1>

Does anyone know how this could be fixed?

Thanks
