I am looking for some help to fix my audio.
I have just updated to Big Sur with opencore and am tring to get my audio working using opencore configurator.
My layout id is wrong abnd I need to change it.
From what I understand it need to be added in the Nvram section under UUID, but I'm not sure what to enter.
TIA.

Hi there.

There are two ways to change Layout-ID in config.plist.

1) Add the DeviceProperties section for your Audio and add or change the layout-ID line to match the layout you wish to test. Save. Reboot. Clear NVRAM. Check progress.

2) Add the "alcid=**" boot-command to the NVRAM 7****** line "boot-args". For example -

- Save. Reboot. Clear NVRAM. Check progress.

Work your way through the Layout-IDs as listed on the AppleALC supported codecs page.

:)
