i tried to use NVMe driver but no change happen.
some advice here plz.
Hallo Rehabman,
I am working on a z270 asrock with a temporary SSD and a Sm951 nvme 128gb.
Last week I got recognized the nvme disk with Your Patch-nvme method.
Then I tried to make the sm951 a booting disk. In order,
Then I booted from it successifully, but after that I tried a boot with only the sm951 disk, removing the sata SSD
- I installed clover on it with multibeast
- I clone the Ssd on it using CCC (Sierra File while Efi was mounted, not sure about the efi copy)
and after a slow loading, I get the error "no disk" icon on a black screen.
After that I reconnected the SSD sata and rebooted, but for now I lost the sm951 disk...
My question is: what files/intallations I need to do, from the Ssd sata?
Wich files apart the Sierra files, and a clover installation?
Using the image disk from the Sierra installation key is a better method?
Thanks I will install a Linux soon.
Another attempt yesterday after the post:
booting from Sierra usb (F11 in asrock list), then clover choosing the nvme disk allowed me a boot.
Looking he entries in Asrock boot list: I see
- Uefi: SSD SATA
- Uefi: sm951 nvme
- Flash disk (if connected)
- SSD SATA
- Sm951 nvme
Instead booting from Uefi: SSD SATA or uefi:sm951 (the clone nvme disk)in F11 and choosing sm951 in Clover, I get the nope icon.
Booting from the non uefi entries (in F11 asrock) I get fastly a black screen with an error on the top left.
So why is the site PASSWORD PROTECTED????? And where is the "file"?This OSX driver should be released anyday now. READ HERE: http://www.macvidcards.com/blog
EVENTUAL DOWNLOAD: http://www.macvidcards.com/401/login.php?redirect=/nvme-driver1.html
Bad link and not surprising since that post was in December 1915. BTW, the NVMe driver located MacVidCards is no longer supported and IIRC doesn't work in Sierra. See these other posts for NVMe information:So why is the site PASSWORD PROTECTED????? And where is the "file"?
