The will be a patch file for 10.11.6 security update 2016-003 ?

Added. Patches are the same as before (kext binary is likely unchanged), md5 sums different.

Hallo Rehabman,
I am working on a z270 asrock with a temporary SSD and a Sm951 nvme 128gb.
Last week I got recognized the nvme disk with Your Patch-nvme method.

Then I tried to make the sm951 a booting disk. In order,
  • I installed clover on it with multibeast
  • I clone the Ssd on it using CCC (Sierra File while Efi was mounted, not sure about the efi copy)
Then I booted from it successifully, but after that I tried a boot with only the sm951 disk, removing the sata SSD
and after a slow loading, I get the error "no disk" icon on a black screen.
After that I reconnected the SSD sata and rebooted, but for now I lost the sm951 disk...

My question is: what files/intallations I need to do, from the Ssd sata?
Wich files apart the Sierra files, and a clover installation?
Using the image disk from the Sierra installation key is a better method?

Check your UEFI entries with efibootmgr (in Linux). Your BIOS may even have the ability to edit UEFI entries directly in BIOS.

Thanks I will install a Linux soon.

Another attempt yesterday after the post:
booting from Sierra usb (F11 in asrock list), then clover choosing the nvme disk allowed me a boot.
Looking he entries in Asrock boot list: I see
  • Uefi: SSD SATA
  • Uefi: sm951 nvme
  • Flash disk (if connected)
  • SSD SATA
  • Sm951 nvme

Instead booting from Uefi: SSD SATA or uefi:sm951 (the clone nvme disk)in F11 and choosing sm951 in Clover, I get the nope icon.
Booting from the non uefi entries (in F11 asrock) I get fastly a black screen with an error on the top left.

You do not need to install Linux to use efibootmgr in Linux... Ubuntu (for example) can be run directly from USB.

That driver is very flaky and not recommended. Additionally it looks like the download link was removed from the original blog post.

Rehabman's method works much better than that kext.

a very quick question how to check nvme drive temp on high sierra ?hw monitor doesnot show nvme drive ..any solutions ?
