nope, no DSDT file was used. With UEFI you don't need to use a DSDT anymore

Almost all works OK with UEFI. Except USB 3.0.
Connecting usb 3 disk - sometimes it causes kernel panic - sometimes nothing happens and sometimes the disk is visible and usable :)

What can be the problem ?

when you say Put "Unibeast USB in my Windows laptop and copied over ATI6000Controller.kext" where did you copy it from??

I get a panic screen even with my card out of the machine !

Congrats and thanks for sharing,

I have same mobo and graphics card (but Gigabyte brand ala customac build) and want to try this - where did you get your ATI6000Controller.kext from for dual monitors?

I had mine working fine under 10.7.3 and couldn't remember how I got it to work (6 months ago), when I upgraded to 10.7.5 I lost the 2nd monitor.

I tried UEFI on 10.7.5 and it was horrible, so I went back to F10 and everything working fine now except 2nd monitor. I have a spare drive I am going to try ML on as I need to keep a working install for actual w.o.r.k but if I can achieve what you did then I'll clone it over to my main SSD drive.

I am planning to attempt the build with the same config you guys have...

The main idea is to use Mountain Lion with all the music softwares...

MOTU 2408, PCIe424, UA Apollo and bunch of hard drives...

Is this possible? Any bad experiences with PCI ?

Same config, But having Kernel Panics After I run Multibeast...

GA-Z68XP-UD3 UEFI U1g - Radeon 6870 - NO DSDT

Did a fresh install tonight of mountain lion. It was working alright before with BIOS10 and DSDT but I wanted to update the bios and just start fresh.
My install went as follows:

Download Mtn Lion, install Unibeast on thumb drive.
Upgraded BIOS to UEFI U1g, set up using Tonymacx86 guide
Put Unibeast USB in my Windows laptop and copied over ATI6000Controller.kext then uploaded to my dropbox
Removed ATI6000Controller.kext from installation USB
Disconnected Video card power and plugged my monitor into the onboard HDMI

Booted up Unibeast USB and booted into installation with flags: -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No
Formatted my hard drive, installed OSX using usual Unibeast guide
Booted into OSX from Unibeast USB, same flags as before: -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No

Restored my users, applications and network settings from time machine backup
Pulled ATI6000Controller.kext from my dropbox and reinstalled it using KextBeast
Ran Multibeast with the following options
> UserDSDT/DSDT Free Installation
> Audio - ALC889 - without DSDT
> Network - Lnx2Mac's RealtekRTL81.xx Ethernet
> Misc - USB 3.0 3rd Party

Before restarting ran fix permissions from Disk Utility
Shut down computer and reconnected power to Video card and plugged both monitors back in
Booted into OSX....everything works perfectly :)

Full Specs:
GA-Z68XP-UD3 UEFI U1g
XFX Radeon HD-6870 - Dual monitors 1HDMI, 1DVI
Core i5-2400 sandybridge
16GB G.SKILL Sniper RAM
Applewifi Card w/PCI Adapter
60GB SSD internal drive, x2 500GB internal HDs, x1 1TB usb3.0 external drive
Dual booting windows 7

Everything works including sound, network, usb 3.0 and sleep
Only small issue I'm having is my external hard drive being disconnected at wake up after sleep, but I've had that problem since day 1 with lion also

I have followed these instructions and I get system freeze after I connected the Radeon Card and booted

It's possible Davidukfl is using 10.8 or 10.8.1 whereas you are using 10.8.2....hence you're getting these problems. You should also check what BIOS settings he has been using...

I am having sleep/awake issues with my build.

It goes to sleep but doesn't want to wake up...

Anyone knows the way around this?
