Cant boot or install after swapping 2500k to i7 2600

Hello guys, I had a perfect system but sold my 2500k and installed a I7 2600 not the K version since i cant overclock. I am able to boot in safe mode on my hard drive and that's it. When installing i cant get past a gray screen and the rainbow circle icon. With the 2500k installation was a breeze and never had problems.
Mountain Lion 10.8

My setup is

i7 2600
Gigabyte Z68A-D3H-B3
G-Skill 8GB DDR3 1600
PNY GTX 560ti

Try doing a -v at bootup and show us what it says (screenshot/photo)
