touchpad not working in my laptop only keyboard

can u upload your elan trackpad?

which laptop are you using?
not sure what you mean by uploading élan trackpad

found another issue. Sleep.
laptop doesn't sleep IF it's plugged in. On batter, it sleeps fine.
When it's plugged in,
using menu or lid just shuts the screen and the light doesn't blink (like it does if it's on battery power).

any experience on this?

I forgot why I put genericusbxhci back in. I'll take it out and test.

Yup that was it. took it out and it sleeps properly now while plugged in. Thanks again

Your assertions shown there are clean... the XHCI assertion will not prevent sleep.

But the time your sleep didn't work, there was probably a different issue...

interesting.
reason why I put genericusb back in was because I playing around to see if I can get the card reader going and forgot to take it out afterwards.

I'll do a few more tests to see what happens.

looks like lid sleep is not working now with or without a/c power
