Acer Aspire S3/S5 Ultrabook Master Forum

Hi,
I have S3 951 i5 HDD 320 + SSD 20Go
When i boot, I have to clic on Mountain Lion / Apple logo to start it (see attached picture)

Does someone has an idea how to not have to clic on, just that it automatically boot ?

I'm hoping someone can hep me, I think it's just me missing something!

I've got an S3, Model I and I'm able to get ML installed on the SSD, but what I can't get is chimera installed.

Every time i run the PKG file and reboot the system will not boot up.

All I do is run the installer and then reboot the system, am I missing something? Does anyone else have similar problems.

have you tried the kext from the elan touchpad thread?
I tried it, and isnt working for me, but i want to try changing the vendor and device ID in plist file. could you or anyone else with Acer S3 tell me vendor and device ID please cause I can't see it, i have no more windows on my S3, only osx.

My device ID is the ETD0504 (same as the report of that site). Inside the file ApplePS2Controller.kext/Contents/Plugins/AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext/Contents/Info.plist , seems that there's reference to all PNP devices, but editing this file does not work for me.

Wifi replace with atheros ar5b92 ----- > WORKING on OSX

SHUTDOWN -- SLEEP -- RESTART ----- > WORKING PERFECT

Wish mine went so smoothly. Ive got a 500GB HDD and a 20GB SSD, in this model the wireless card is soldered to the board.

I did think about removing the MSATA SSD and put a wireless card in its place, but apparently MSATA isn't backwards compatible to PCIe

Hi:

A touchpad driver with multitouch gestures is being developed for elan v4.


I've tried the 1.7.0 v3 and it does not work for us. We need the v4 as you can see in my log:

The v4 does not work yet for us. Also remember that EMlyDinEsHMG is a very busy man.

If this drivers gets a reasonable status, we'll have the best hackbook air

The other missing thing is the sdcard slot. Has anybody found anything about this?
