    No WOL in 10.7.2

I managed to get WOL to work with 0.0.90 with the power cord trick, but it didn't survive a reboot (I'd have to unplug my computer every time I reboot, no thanks). On the 0.0.67 kext WOL does survive reboots, including booting into Windows and Linux, without unplugging.

Odd waking from sleep issue (Lion)

Slap "darkwake=0" into your kernel flags in org.chameleon.Boot.plist.

    No WOL in 10.7.2

I have the same board as bwhinnen but the same problem as ocean223. I don't remember if WOL worked under 10.7.0, and I skipped 10.7.1, but it doesn't work with RTL81xx 0.0.90 and 10.7.2. When I sleep the computer it shuts the ethernet port down completely. I rolled back to 0.0.67+, still on...

    KP on Installer partition boot

I don't know. The posts I found said that flashing only fixed a very specific version of the 5770, the XFX HD-557A-ZNFC (it wasn't a fix for the 557X, for instance). But it couldn't hurt to search the boards for 5670 and see.

    KP on Installer partition boot

I also flashed my XFX HD 5770 with an older BIOS, that allowed me to finally boot to the Installer partition and install Lion. From there I could boot in safe mode to Lion, but if I tried a normal boot I got the exact same kernel panic I was getting before on the Installer boot. I'm off now to...

[Solution] KP/White Screen booting into Installer

Re: Solution KP/White Screen booting into Installer I did the fakesmc and nullcpu install, and booting the installer partition no longer immediately KPs. Now it hangs on the apple screen with the spinner. If I use -v it hangs at "DSMOS has arrived". Any ideas?

    KP on Installer partition boot

I think the solution is here: viewtopic.php?p=165793#p165793 Netkas posted a new ATY_init.kext here: http://netkas.org/?p=880 But I don't know where/when to install it. Do I put it in my Lion installer partition? Install it into 10.6.7 and rerun xmove?

    Installer partition hanging on boot

You installed the kext into E/E on your snow leopard partition or the Lion installer partition?

    KP on Installer partition boot

Hey, agrajag, did you get 10.6.8 working? Because I'm having similar issues with that.

    KP on Installer partition boot

Definitely not what I want to hear, but at least I know I can fix it with a new card. Eventually I expect someone will come up with a solution, that card is just too popular to leave behind.

    KP on Installer partition boot

For testing I installed 10.6.3, upgraded to 10.6.7 (I can't get 10.6.8 to install, I've tried all the solutions I could find but nothing works), then installed Lion. I followed the directions exactly. When I try to boot to the Installer partition, I get the Apple-on-grey logo, then a very quick...

New Unified Realtek Onboard Audio Solution: ALC8xxHDA

I see a handful of 892 users are having the same "front jack won't work" issue as me, but no word from anyone on a fix. Is this issue being worked on? I'd like to have both the front jack and SPDIF working at some point.

New Unified Realtek Onboard Audio Solution: ALC8xxHDA

I followed the directions exactly, and the rear green output is working fine, but the front analog (headphone) jack isn't working for me. Using the old LegacyHDA method with an edited DSDT the front jack not only worked, but it turned off the back jack when headphones were plugged in. I have a...

    ALC 892 (2out, 1 in) for 10.6

Yes, it's normal. I had a windows computer with a sound card problem, and iTunes would do exactly that when it detected that there was no output working.

Keyboard + Mouse don't work when I reboot Snow Leopard

My fix for this issue (on my P55A-UD3 rev. 2, but I think we have the same ethernet chipset) was to use the latest beta RTL81xx drivers from lnx2mac.

All is perfect except for a Windows 7 clock issue!

The registry edit worked for me. Set that, reboot into OS X and set your clock, and you should be done.
