I think I didn't understand well.
When you boot your PC, when you press F11 you should see a list of disk (not the OS).
If you have chosen the correct NVME disk you should boot the OpenCore boot loader... and then you have to choose the operating system!
Isn't that what happens?
When you use...
Good question!
...to do tests, experiments, to not stand still. Obviously I made the changes when I had very good deals on used video cards.
I buy, I try, I resell.
I have so much fun!
:)
When I’ve to start in Windows, I push F11 at boot menu (while booting) and I select the NVMe disk that contain Windows.
I keep the two systems completely separated.
PS:
You have to say a huge thanks to all those people who work every day to make a hack working. I am the last link in the chain...
you have to read more....!
If you read all the post you are interested to, You will find the "solution".
Enable all the uncecked kext and use the daemon for wifi as suggested in one on the first posts.
See
https://github.com/OpenIntelWireless
You've to download and install Heliport to use...
well!
yes, you have to copy the EFI folder in the EFI partition, and select this as boot partition in the bios.
You can keep Opencore 0.9.8 or, at least, make a backup before trying update to open core 0.9.9
To upgrade to 14.4.1 you have to follow what I wrote in the lasts posts
Did you...
your dGPU should works OOB (is a RX5700XT if I remember), the only boot args that you should need is agdpmod=pikera
I don't understain why you have black screen, I don't know how help you.
Please, post your entire EFI (zipped).
May be someone can do some suggestion.
PS: Have you tested if...
looking around today I noticed that the
agdpmod=vit9696
boot flag may be necessary to "Disables board-id check, may be needed for when screen turns black after finishing booting"
Try adding this flag as show in the above picture.
Try also using only the boot args "agdpmod=vit9696" instead...
What card and display monitor (brand/model) are you using?
can you check that agdpmod=pikera is in your boot arguments?
tomorrow morning (in Italy) I will check if there is a mistake in the EFI I uploaded for you. But I’m almost sure that is correct.
In the meanwhile try disabling completely...
I hope you’re using OC Configurator
Ignore the error. Is a problem of OC validator. So don’t worry and use it without fear.
In this days I’m in Easter vacation.
I can’t do any test.
Can you boot in verbose mode and share the screen where boot process stops?
try again with method suggested in post #118

@the66
I understand that you want to be helped, but your answers are always very "tight", and I don't have a crystal ball...
He needs a Sonoma version "pre 14.4" (e.g. 14.2, 14.3)
When I do same terminal command, I obtain:
Pulpinex@Marios-Air ~ % softwareupdate --list-full-installers...
you have to read carefully....
OK, in terminal write:
softwareupdate --list-full-installers
look for a version you like, then do
Softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 14.x.x
select a version you see in the list when you do softwareupdate --list-full-installers
you...
@the66 :
Another way to get macOS is following the STEP 1 (spoiler) on this link (thx to @CaseySJ for this Golden Build Detailed description, that was really inspiring also for my build).
