    help choosing Graphic Card

@Going Bald: But when Lion is installed, does he have to boot from usb again? I was under the impression that install would be pretty straight forward, and just open app from appstore?

    help choosing Graphic Card

I'm not sure about the update, but that shouldn't be a problem to find on this site. In bios you change graphics option from PEG to IGD(I think)n there should only be a couple of options. Just checked, you can just log into your account and install like a normal mac.

    help choosing Graphic Card

Yes you do :) The intel cpu you are using has integrated gfx(HD3000), is that not what you are using right now? The HD3000 should be just fine for what you need, I have it on a laptop, and its fine for normal use.

Basics for Overclocking Ivy Bridge (Gigabyte Z77/i5-3570K)

Thanks for the reply Skaker. On my UEFI(z77x-ud5h) I have to set vcore to normal, in order to set an offset. But the actual vcore keeps on rising even though i set it an offset much lower. I am fine on 44, but the vcore is more than I set, and that worries me. I would like to control it. And...

Basics for Overclocking Ivy Bridge (Gigabyte Z77/i5-3570K)

Tried with Eist enabled, vcore normal(1,130), offset +0.000 @ 4,4 GHz and HWmonitor said my vcore max was 1.200v, and that was just during startup. Shouldn't those settings mean that the vcore would stay @ 1,130v?

Basics for Overclocking Ivy Bridge (Gigabyte Z77/i5-3570K)

I changed turbo to 4,4, and then enabled EIST, and left vcore on auto. But HWmonitor showed my max voltage as 1,310 :o Did I damage my chip? Should it be on normal and not auto? And if normal, do i set offset to normal or auto? Thanks so much

The 660 Ti Thread: Questions and Answers Here!

I got the MSI n660 ti power edition, and it is listed core speed 1033 MHz, and boost clock: 1098, however in games Afterburner tells me speed is 1190 under load. Is this a bug in afterburner?

    Need motherboard advice

Since you know what you want, just look though http://www.tonymacx86.com/344-building-customac-buyer-s-guide-april-2013.html and find a board with the features you where asking for. The GA-z77x-ud5h will prolly do the job for you.

Need advice to build my CustoMac

OK lets get one thing straight. The ''k'' in 3570K means that this cpu is unlocked, and that you therefore have the option of turning up the clock speed. You can do this on a non ''K'' cpu as well, but not nearly as much. If you choose to over clock your cpu, then yes you will need a cooler. But...

Corsair h100i wont fit in corsair carbide 500r

I haven't seen a guide but I'm sure there are some. A google search should take care of that. I heard the h100 performs great, but also that hydro systems like that can be a bit noisy under pressure. More noisy than the Noctua nh-d14, which is pretty silent for an air cooler. Which is why bought...

Change of componentes for (graphic design)

No problem with the drivers, I have the GTX 660 Ti. But for display port, can't you just use HDMI-Displayport with the GTX 560? Or will you lose quality?

Corsair h100i wont fit in corsair carbide 500r

So I just read some posts on that, apparently a lot of people are having this issue, although some say it mounts fine, even tho it looks like it won't. You can always install it outside the case like this: http://imgur.com/BjC8v, but maybe you got unlucky with the MOBO.

First time Hackintosh build (on low budget)

You prolly don't need an i5-3570k for that. I have seen most game run great on the i3-3225, and those games you mention will run perfect on that. Even the GT 640 will take care of that, you don't need GTX 650 unless you want demanding games in high quality. Check out some benchmarks of the games...

    This is what I'm thinking...

I can't imagine that the 750w PS will be enough. Recommended power for those cards are like 400w each. Check out SLI for gtx 660 ti as well. I saw some pretty impressive benchmarks on those.

Corsair h100i wont fit in corsair carbide 500r

Really? Are you installing it on top like this? : http://www.overclock.net/t/1119694/official-corsair-carbide-series-200r-300r-400r-500r-owners-club/690#post_15720107

Need advice to build my CustoMac

You can choose another MOBO from the list, and put in a wifi card, if the chosen MOBO has a PCI/PCI-E slot for it. The GTX 650 Ti will do fine with the games that you mention. I am not that familiar with visual studio, or cs 6 so I can't say if that will be enough. A core i5 will do fine, I'm...

    General computer/Gaming: i5 3570K, GA Z77X-UD5H, GTX 660

Hi again. Thanks so much for all your help. Just wanted to know if you have had any problems with your build? After my OS X install it freezes with like a white filter on the screen, or tells me to restart if I press key and choose OS X in bootloader. If have the same build as you, with the...
