I think it needs a lot more work mate. I need edits for HPET also hence the reboot issue.

I had HPET ticked in Config which fixes the problem. Only reason why i changed it was because i applied one of your HPET patches to see if it works. Do you think i should try IRQ patch only? and leave everything else the same?

It is best to make one change at a time, yes..

Note there are also IRQ fixes for Clover's config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Fixes. You can see how I use them in my various projects.

Ill restore to original DSDT with just IRQ Patch and config. See what happens.

Right so I've done that. Something has changed now because the sound outputs and inputs would only show if i had FixHDA & Add DTGP in Config.plist but now showing no audio. Any ideas?

FixHDA is not needed when your DSDT already defines HDEF. I usually just use an SSDT to accomplish it if that is the case (look at my DH67GD project). And DTGP is never needed, although certain Clover options depend on it, I usually avoid it (by using SSDTs instead of Clover Fixes).

So what else could be the problem? could the IRQs not be correct?

There are many many mistakes possible when dealing with patched AppleHDA...

Could you check for me? what files would you need to check?

First you should start with a "known good" ALC889 patched AppleHDA.kext. Then install it on a fresh install (in /S/L/E overwriting vanilla AppleHDA.kext). Make sure you have the correct ACPI patches for it.
