I have been trying to patch my own DSDT for this used laptop I bought but not having much success :(
It has the HD 4000, I made sure of that because I know it's compatible but I can't get QE/CI enabled, amongst other things, like audio and WiFi. The WiFi is unsupported so I have another one on order and the audio is the ALC3202 which there is no kext in multibeast.

Any help would be appreciated

This is the laptop in question http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/pro...nkpad-l-series-laptops/thinkpad-l430/2466/1g3

Update: I have graphics fully working with GraphicsEnabler=No IGPEnabler=Yes and IGPlatformID=01660004

Can anyone point me to an how to on extracting and patching my DSDT so I can get my audio working and patch the graphics so I don't have to use boot flags? I have tried to use? I have tried to use MaciASL but I just don't know what to do

Thanks guys

Not a desktop. Moved to laptop support.

You should enter the required boot flags into your /Extra/org.chameleon.boot.plist.

There is a guide for DSDT patching: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/152573-guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.html

Hi again rehabman. I downloaded all the necessary files in the guide you sent me. I just have a couple of questions if you don't mind. I have a fresh installation of os x. I have not used multibeast yet, just have keyboard and trackpad support on my lenovo because I choose laptop support in unibeast.
I have full graphics support as described before with the boot flags. I don't have a boot.plist yet but I will be adding the boot flags to the chameleon.boot.plist once I run multibeast.

I did not install anything as I don't want anything to present conflicts while I am extracting the dsdt.
I have started by downloading patchmatic, i followed your link to github and halfway through the read me there are download links.
I downloaded the zip but as you know os x unzips the file once downloaded so I get a file called MaciASL. You say to copy it to usr/bin but I can't find the right folder?
Also you mention binary files but it's only one file the MaciASL?
Finally how do I get my trackpad left button to click and hold so I can resize windows or drag windows. How annoying.

If you can help me extract my dsdt and patch it I really appreciate it.

I have been reading some of your posts and it's really amazing the support you constantly provide to the laptop community. I thank you for that.

I noticed that you have a lenovo as well so there might be some of the patches you use, that apply to me.

Thanks again

Make sure you read the README so you're downloading the correct ZIP for patchmatic.

What is the manufacturer of your trackpad?

Hello mate, Thanks for your help once again! You were right, obviously... I was downloading the wrong file, went for the latest one and didn't even noticed that it was MaciASL instead of patchmatic.

I Have followed quite a lot of your guide since then. installed patchmatic extracted and disassembled the aml files and now I have the dsl files all in a folder and I'm at the filtering ACPI Files part of the guide.

The manufacturer of my trackpad is Elan, its the Trackpad ultranav. Thank for your help with this.

I will let you know if I run into anymore problems with the guide.

Thanks again

Search for a driver for PS2 ELAN trackpads.

Found it, thank you so much.

I am about to reboot but before I do I ran multibeast and I'm about to install some things to get things running. I have posted a screenshot of the things I'm about to install.
Do you think I should install all of this?

I just don't know if there's things I can leave uninstalled until I patch my ssdt and dsdt (I'm planning on doing that next, by continuing your guide. I just don't know how complex it is and how long it will take me)

Now that I extracted and disassembled the aml files and I have the dsl files ready, there is no problem with things being emulated and conflicting with the process. I know that once I patch the aml files I need to remove the generate cpu states from the boot plist. Together with the nullcpupowermanagement kext. I just don't know if I can boot without those things, or I will not select them now.

Since you have been replying so quickly I thought I might get this little advise from you.

Thanks

P.S: Ignore the mac pro system definition, I currently have the macbook pro 8,1 and I removed the mac pro from the multibeast install

Thanks, I didn't install the generatecstates and generatepstates and went ahead and installed the smbios closest to my hardware. it was macbook pro 9,2 where they have an ivy bridge i5.

Bad news though, it now doesn't boot. I can't even get it to boot off of the usb first and i tried every flag i can think of.

It just fails a second or two after boot complaining about Apple cpu power management.

Do I need to reinstall or is there a flag to bypass it?
