No option to select Mac OS in Chimera Boot Screen :( PLEASE HELP

Hi

I have:

Core i7 3770k
Asus Z77 Deluxe
AMD R9 290
16GB RAM

After I install Yosemite, when I again boot from USB, it still shows the option to boot from USB and reinstall. There is no option to boot from Yosemite OS.

Please help.

I have tried everything. Only a miracle can save me now :(
 
When I click the down arrow and choose boot verbose then the error is waiting for root devices :(

Still waiting for root device usually means that you have your USB drive in a USB3 port.
Move it to a USB2 port or if it already is in one, move it to another one.
 
I have tried lots of usb devices. All usb 2.0.

i get the error can't load appleusbmergenub
 
Also, I can't find the patched bios for my motherboard anywhere. And I don't get it how to use uefitool. No idea how it works :(
 
I meant lots of usb 2.0 ports
 
Try using boot argument "USBFix=Yes" without the quotes ...

Why are you wanting to use UEFI tool ?

In the post#1 you mentioned that you had installed Yosemite and after installation, the OS X installed partition is not visible on the chimera's screen to complete the second phase of the installation.

Later on you updated (Post#2) that your are facing "Still waiting for root device" issue.


When you are stuck with the "Still Waiting For Root Device"?? While trying to boot from USB for new installation or While trying to boot into the HDD's OS X installed partition?

usbbusfix doesnt work.

I can reach the chimera screen. But I don't see the option to select yosemite. I can only select USB and install again. Can't boot to the OS.

At the chimera screen,

if I select boot verbose then I get the errors I wrote above about usb, root etc
 
I'm stuck at the usb stage, the hdd stage never comes.

I can boot from usb, but cant see the hdd.
