Hi, previously sorry for my bad english, I'm italian and my english it's not excellent.
So, I've bought a new configuration to make an hackintosh (and than, running it in dual boot with windows 7) that's the specs:

Asus Z97-K 1150ATX
intel core i7 4790 4GHZ 8MB
Asus GTX960 2GB DDR5 (clocked version)
Corsair H80I Hydro Series wateCorsair Carbide 300R black tower
XFX ProSeries 550W
Adata SP900 128GB
Crucial M500 120GB
(x2) 5200rpm WD HD for data
RAM DDR3 Kingston (2x4) 1600MHz + DDR3 Corsair (2x4) 1600MHz
DVD/HDDVD/BLURAY LG

The problem it's simple, when I start the installation with unibeast the first screen stuck on the apple logo and the load bar.
I followed all the instruction.

The problem is maybe the incompatibility with the motherboard? in that case I'll change it tomorrow, but I need to know.
Please help my, I need it to work, thanks

Hi.

I had the same problem. So go to Multibeast;Drivers;System; and install under AppleACPIPlatfrom Rollback the 10.9.5 Apple ACPIPlatform Rollback.

That was working for me, i hope for you too :)

drxpeabody welcome to the forum. Please read the rules and complete the profile.

Please search and find a guide that is similar to your hardware. For instance, I would recommend that you remove your GPU card and go into the BIOS and set it to use the internal graphics. After you have OS X installed and running, you can search for the instructions to install your GPU.

Good modding,
neil

The problem is early, I didn't reach the end of the installation, so unfortunatly I can't run multibeast

Excuse me, taken from the rush I didn't look at the rules, I'll look immediatly

Unfortunately I have not found similar post of people who have my motherboard, so I continue to ask here.
I've tried to force the motherboard to use the internal GPU throught BIOS (without removing the nvidia), but it doesn't work. I've some doubts about the motherboard itself because in the buyer's guide the z97-k it signed, but the CSM model only. It is possible that the vanilla version (not CSM) is not compatible or am I paranoid?

Ok, the installation goes without the GPU (and forced to use the internal gpu in bios). But there's two other problem:
The first is that if i start yosemite (obviously through the usb) normally it stucked again in the apple logo, so i need to start it in safe mod (-x)
The other one is that i can't install the gtx 960, or more probably I can't do it. At the end of the installation I've insert the GPU on the motherboard, but when i start Yosemite it doesn't start (with or without -x).
How can I do? Thanks

What worked for me to get an EVGA GTX 960 up and running on my Z97i mb ...

Tonymac put up a thread on an Nvidia driver
(343.01.01) they put up for OSX 10.10 support for 970/980 Maxwell architecture adapters.

Go to Nvidia's web site and locate the OSX web driver (343.02.02) for 10.10.02, download and install that.

Edit /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist to include the line <string>nvda_dvr=1</string> per the thread I linked above.

After I did that and installed the adapter it booted fine. Just remember - if you run Multi Beast again you'll need to re-edit the boot plist file again.

ok, now the card is recognized by the system, but it start only in secure mode and have a lot of glitches. It's impossible to work like this, in this moment the internet page is like refreshing every second, making hard for me to write this message.

This is just a WAG, but maybe you could boot without the cache (-f) and get it stable enough to load/install your configuration with Multibeast again?

Remember if you do that, you'll need to edit the plist file again.

Ok, thank you very much, I'll installed again everything, first the drivers/chimera with multibeast and than the GPU drivers. Now everything goes except for the audio. What can I do for know where is the problem?
I've also noticed another thing, the GPU fans does't work, it's normal or not?
