Got everything except AC wifi mode
What should I do to get the AC function working?
Please help :banghead:

Same wifi/BT board but at first BT only worked...no wifi.
Moved the card to the PCI mini socket (EX_1) and worked when I booted the machine.
OOB is correct, you just must have it in the correct slot.

Now that I figured that out I am very pleased with the card (purchased through AliExpress)

I'm having trouble with this too.

I'm using a gigabyte h97n-wifi motherboard with a broadcom bcm94360cd in the mini-PCIe slot using an adapter. At the moment, I'm not using the USB-d cable to provide power from the motherboard as I think the mini-PCIe slot has power (if I've understood that correctly?). I'm running Yosemite 10.10.1

I have two 15cm pigtails connecting J2 and J3 to the backplate antenna connections, and two 25cm pigtails connected to two antennae in one of the rear expansion slots.

bluetooth is working fine. Wifi is registering as active in the menu bar, and the card is recognised in the system profiler, just as the OPs image shows. However, no wifi networks are detected. There is an iMac two meters away that detects our home wifi as well as the neighbours.

does anyone have any idea what's wrong?

The wifi card is known to be not working. See other's comment.
Usually use usb wifi adaptor instead.
I have Tp-Link Archer T4u working with generic driver provided by Realtek.
The chipset is:
Realtek RTL8812AU

Thanks raymundau.

I've been using storck's thread throughout this build and it's been extremely useful. I've followed everything he's done, including rigging up all four antennae and not using the the mobo USB connection. But it doesn't find the wireless network.

Have I missed something obvious, like a bios setting or system preference change?

Here's a screenshot of my system profiler for wifi:

What I mean the gigabyte motherboard's chipset of wifi is not supported in Mac OS.
You need to find other solution that is what Stork is talking about in his thread.

Okay, I've read the whole of stork's thread and I'm still none the wiser.

To clarify, I am using the same broadcom card and adapter as Stork with more or less the same hardware.

What puzzles me is that the card is recognised by the computer, and is searching for a network. This makes me think it's a physical problem with the pigtails or plastic antennae. I swapped them all around in case one of them is dodgy but nothing changes

bluetooth is working fine

Sorry, I misunderstand you. I think you are using the motherboard onboard wifi card.
