iboot GE if iboot Legacy ?????

Today I tried to install the mac os x snow leopard 10.6.3 from retail dvd and suffered a kernel panic in BOOT.I think the iboot default not for my hardware...???

BIOS settings boot from cd/dvd , ahci enabled, acpi mod to s3

my hardware
cpu:intel core i7 920
mobo:msi x58 platinum SLI
ram: 3x 1GB DDR3
graphics:GYGABIT ATI RADEON HD4870 1GB GDDR5
hdd: 1TB ..

What do I need iboot ..????
