nVidia 9600m / 9100m.. please help

Hi folks,
Im pretty new around here, I've just setup my hackintosh, everything went fairly smoothly other than the graphics card... while I can see the screen "about this mac" shows 32mb VRAM incorrectly.

My graphics card is: nVidia 9600GS however Windows saw this as 9100m

When I added nvenabler through multibeast, the system wouldnt load

Does anyone have any suggestions? If you need any information please ask.

Ok so I now have this working by enabling the following in multibeast:

"64bit Apple bootscreen"
"PCI Root ID fix for Chameleon"

However with this enable I then lose my trackpad and mouse with no way of getting it back, even when I add the ps2 and usb rollback fixes they still dont work.. does anyone have any ideas?

Hi. Just a quick ask, i have the same laptop as you, and i've trying to setup a hackintosh system, following the lovely guide over a lifehacker...But everytime i start the install i get an error and it restarts.

my reading has lead me to believe it's hardware incomparability but if you've got it working then perhaps not?

Any clues would be good. using iboot and a fresh copy of snow leopard.
