I would like to run Dual DVI (2x Dell 2005FPW [1680X1050]) on a GTS250 or possible 260.

Future plans include either one 24-30 inch, or higher res duals...

what's confirmed to work?

MSI, EVGA, XFX etc?

Thanks.

Budget it 130-180
Use is photoshop, some video editing (720p from Canon t1i) and gaming here and there.

You'll want the GTX 260. It work with "NvidiaEnabler=Yes" and is much faster than the GTS 250, which is basically a rebranded 9800 GT.

ok thanks, are you saying if I'm considreing a 250 I should just get a 9800?
And will the EVGA GTX 260 will work with 10.6.3 dual display with DVI + DVI out (no adapters etc)

Tring to pull the trigger today..
I have everything in expcept for GPU and CPU (i7 860) should be here Friday.

It's going to be a great weekend :headbang:

GTS 250 is a rebranded 9800GTX+ (not 9800GT) and for what you plan to do I think either would be fine (250 or 260). I'd only grab a 260 if you can find a deal on one for ~$150, which can be found on TigerDirect (using Bing cashback), as well as some other etailes. Mind you, base 260's have 896MB VR, but at 1680 res, I really don't think it would matter. My 260's work for dual display via both DVI's, so I don't see why you'd have a problem.

True the GTS 250 is a rebranded GTX+, but the GTX+ only comes in 512MB versions, which would suffer in dual monitors - especially if you're going for 24-30" monitors; so I just said the 9800 GT. I think a GTX 260 896MB will work fine - but once you hit the 24" 1920x1200 resolutions, gaming will become an issue.
