installing 10.6 from an usb stick

hi all,
I start the pc with a iBoot-Disk.

i made a 8gb stick bootable and copy the original leopard dvd on it.

do i need a speceal command to start the setup in the iboot menu from the usb stick?

I moved the topic to the right subforum. Leopard isn't supported, read the FAQ
 
Could just be a typo and / or generalisation? He does say 10.6 in the title.

However, I believe that iBoot does not support installing from USB drive, it requires an original DVD in a SATA Optical drive. Maybe time to borrow or buy one.

Of course it's possible. I do that many times. But you'll need a running Hackintosh or a real Mac to restore the SL Reatail DVD to a HFS+ Journaled formatted USB thumb. I don't know if it's possible to do that under windows, but i think there are also solutions for that.
