I have been trolling around the forums for almost a year now and I was always making a list of parts I was going to get. But then you know the rest. That list eventually gets put under many things and you just forget about it. So after many lists of parts, mid October came and I said, "I'm going to ACTUALLY build a Hackintosh." So, after making my parts list, I was figuring out ways to get this and that in there without raising my cost and you know how that goes. My budget started at $500 and eventually I was up to about $700.
Then Christmas came.
I had most of my needed parts to complete my build. I got the motherboard, the hard drive, the case, and the power supply. Now all I had to get was the Processor and the ram.
After that waiting period, I built it and installed Mountain Lion easily with the Unibeast and MultiBeast programs.
The only issues I have right now (if anyone has solutions, please post them here!) are
[*=left]My keyboard disconnects after sleep FIXED: I plugged my keyboard into the usb hub on my monitor. With the help of Please Sleep I have sleep!
[*=left]airplay doesn't work even with iMac 12,2 definition FIXED: I got AirParrot.
[*=left]Speedstep might work, the only speeds I see are 1.6 ghz and 4.2 ghz, so it might be working FIXED: It is working, I can see 1.8 and so on.
[*=left]my audio pops before it plays something only if it hasn't been used for a few minutes. (kind of like an old person, it takes them a while to get going, but once they are going, there is no stopping!) FIXED: Changed system definition to MacPro 3,1
