Comments:

CPU is detected as "3.6GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon" processor. I set this in smbios.plist; "SMcputype=1281". Processor frequency for now only go up to 3.6GHz (even if without "SMcputype=1281"). Everything is working including USB 3.0, Realtek ALC898 sound card & bluetooth. I didn't test sleep yet but I'm sure it doesn't work because I need to use "NullCPUPowerManagement.kext". Without "NullCPUPowerManagement.kext", it will kernel panic when boot. I read in several posts in this forum, sleep might work with "SleepEnabler.kext". Obviously PowerColor ATI Radeon HD 5870 does works with QE/CI support. In addition to "GraphicsEnabler=Yes", I also need to set "AtiConfig=Uakari" in "org.chameleon.Boot.plist". Without "AtiConfig=Uakari", I only get black screen.

For Mac OS X Lion installation, I use UniBeast method:-
http://tonymacx86.blogspot.ca/2011/10/u ... using.html

I use Mac OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive which is bought from Apple Store. The installation is straight forward. No need to tweak any settings in UEFI BIOS. Just remember, when you want to install Mac OS X, just need to plug UniBeast thumb drive at USB 2.0 port. If you connect to USB 3.0 port, it will failed to boot because it use ASMedia USB 3.0 controller. You will be able to use USB 3.0 ports after install the USB 3.0 driver from MutliBeast.

BTW, when you boot with UniBeast thumb drive, you will have Restart/Shutdown problem. You don't have any choice except press the reset button if it refused to Restart/Shutdown. When run MultiBeast later (post-install), just make sure do not select "EvOReboot".

MultiBeast Selections:

Before running MultiBeast, make sure to put fixed DSDT aml file at Desktop. This is fixed DSDT with minimum edit (UEFI BIOS 1104):-
dsdt_A_p9x79pro_edited.aml

Download the DSDT aml file to Desktop. You don't have to rename the file because MultiBeast will rename it for you to "DSDT.aml" & it will put it in "/Extra" folder.

After the MultiBeast installation is finish, do not restart yet. Open Terminal & edit:
  1. /Extra/smbios.plist
    - add this:-
    Code:
            <key>SMcputype</key>
            <string>1281</string>
    [/*:m:32mmc0jh]
  2. /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist
    - add this:-
    Code:
            <key>AtiConfig</key>
            <string>Uakari</string>
    [/*:m:32mmc0jh]

My /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist:-
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
        <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
        <string>Yes</string>
        <key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
        <string>Yes</string>
        <key>AtiConfig</key>
        <string>Uakari</string>
        <key>Kernel</key>
        <string>mach_kernel</string>
        <key>Kernel Flags</key>
        <string>npci=0x3000 darkwake=0</string>
        <key>Legacy Logo</key>
        <string>Yes</string>
        <key>Timeout</key>
        <string>2</string>
        <key>UseKernelCache</key>
        <string>Yes</string>
</dict>
</plist>

After cleanup a little bit

mine is p7x79 deluxe, can you fix the dsdt for me? or i use yours?
the bluetooth is able to connect the magic trackpad but lost connection after 5 seconds :confused:

Except latest UEFI BIOS, previous UEFI BIOS carried different version for both PRO & DELUXE board. So, DSDT might be different. I only did a minimal edit in the DSDT, just basic patch. I didn't test the bluetooth extensively but I found if I reboot to Mac OS X from windows, bluetooth will enabled. If I cold-boot to Mac OS X, bluetooth will disappear.

Also, the bluetooth seems to have poor coverage.

ey, have you updated your mobo bios to the latest 1203 build? coz was wondering if you have an updated DSDT for it :)

No, mine still with 1104. 1104 works OK, so I don't want to update.

Hi
I want to ask a favor
I can not enable bluetooth on the motherboard
I have the asus pro p9x79

Bluetooth will only work if you boot into windows first. After that, when you reboot (warm-boot) to Mac OS X, bluetooth will enabled. This is the only workaround I know.
