Worth upgrading for FCP X?

My current Hack specs: Intel Core 2 Quad (3Ghz), 8GB RAM...Gigabyte Mobo, I haven't overclocked anything...

I've been running Final Cut Pro X on it fine...and Final Cut Studio, in the past, however, with the new FCP X, the background rendering kind of causes the computer to lag a little bit, not a LOT, but I notice it. Is the auto-rendering more CPU intensive or RAM intensive? Or both? Would it be more beneficial to upgrade just RAM or the whole Mobo/CPU/RAM setup?

Any help is appreciated.

Also, can I overclock anything in the Hack world? I have 0 overclocking experience, even on PC...just never had a use for it.

Hi

Be warned you can not import old FCP projects in FCPX. It likes more Imovie projects then old FCP.
