Is the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XI GENE compatible for OS X, who knows?

I have issues with bios option,
• CSM (Compatibility Support Module):
— Launch CSM [Disabled]
after saving&exit bios changes it to enable

then you have some incompatible component installed. non-uefi bios on GPU is usual suspect. if you are using the hd6870 it is the most probable suspect. you would need a special UEFI bios for that GPU - http://www.overclock.net/t/1389206/...0-i-can-add-it-to-your-bios/240#post_21111262

or maybe you plan to change the GPU for newer

Thank you! Yes, most likely the problem is the old GPU. It worked nice with Capitan. But now I can’t go back because of MB)))

you boot el capitan USB drive and restore the timemachine backup. no big deal.
but are you sure your boot problem is due to that specific bios setting?i had simillar behaviour after bios update on my z370 from gigabyte.
