Will it work? Newbie inside :)

I'm TrueZorro a newbie user from Italy, i would like to build a custom Mac and i need you help to know if this configuration will work fine.
The configuration of my custom mac is:
- INTEL - Processore Core i5-3570K (Ivy Bridge) Quad-Core 3,40 Ghz GPU integrata HD 4000 Socket LGA 1155 Moltiplicatore Sbloccato
-GIGABYTE - Motherboard GA-Z77X-UD5H Socket LGA 1155 Chipset Intel Z77 ATX
-EVGA - GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2 GB GDDR5 Pci-E DVI-I Dual Link DVI-D Single Link HDMI Display Port SuperClocked
-SEAGATE - Barracuda 7200.14 1 TB Sata 6 Gb s Buffer 64 Mb 7200 rpm
-CORSAIR - Memoria Dimm Vengeance 8Gb (2x4Gb) ddr3 1600 MHz Unbuffered CL9

I need to use a external hdd connected with a fire wire 800, wich fire wire pci card i had to use?
For the installation of mountain lion i had to downgrade the ram to 4 gb? (2x2gb)?

I was like you trying to figure out if the hackintosh will run. After reading many forums, I decide to just give it a go. You will run into issues and I resolve the more discerning ones by re-installing. You have an ivy and a gigabyte mobo, I would advise you if you want the hackintosh go for it. The hardware seems compatible.

Are you planning to use this hdd as the bootloader or the installer hd? I went with USB which is easier.

For the installation of mountain lion i had to downgrade the ram to 4 gb? (2x2gb)?
I had 8gb and that worked.

A Firewire 800 card with a Texas Instruments chipset should work fine. You don't need to "downgrade" the RAM when you install Mountain Lion. Just use the full amount.
