The major differences are: CPU speed detection for Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge and Haswell CPUs works correctly AMD and NVIDIA card reporting is Mac like by not reporting card vendor names and only reporting generic card info Intel HD graphics support is different, Chimera's support is much cleaner (in my opinion) and more flexible with IGPEnabler Chimera correctly reports CPU type for Core i3, i5, i7 and Xeon CPUs This is some of the difference I can think of off the top of my head.
