Everybody in my family has the latest iphone and ipad; and I'm getting trying to get into iOS development also. Although I not quite ready to go out and spend a couple grand on a mac just to learn the material. I have a old W530 / G570 / and a T60 laying around the house. Would any of them be viable for building a "hackintosh" system to see if I'm interested in getting into iOS development?

G570 is probably the easiest, but the W530 is also possible. And you should know already that Intel WiFi is not supported.

I was going to get started on the W530 since it had the most resources, but I guess it grinds down to compatibilty more than possible resources. I went ahead and ordered legit copy of "Snow Leopard" and downloaded VirtualBox; as well as, iBoot and MultiBeast from this website. Still reading forums, website and guides; any tip and/or guides you can leave on this post would be helpful. Thanks!

Easy way to get started would be to borrow a Mac from someone you know that has one... That way you can download Mavericks and create your USB installer with Unibeast without first installing SL.
