I really hope someone experienced using VoodooHDA in Mojave can help me.

-Sometimes when booting (maybe 50% of the time) the menu bar sound icon is greyed out and the System Preferences pane only shows 3 HDMI audio inputs. Line out green rear, headphones, etc. are missing
When this happens a reboot or a hard reset (holding the power button) will get sound working again.

-I tried removing the patch "HDAS to HDEF" in Clover then started getting boot hangs or Kernel Panics. Again a hard reset allows the computer to boot normally. I just reversed this and will see if I still get KPs.

-Clearing caches and permissions didn't help.

Maybe I have a .kext that is conflicting with VoodooHDA? I've attached a screenshot of my Library/Extensions folder and my Clover folder.

Thanks for any help.

I was able to find a thread from 2011 on another hackintosh site that mentions you must remove AppleHDA from System/Library/Extensions when using VoodooHDA?
This seems like a fairly obvious fix, is this correct advice?
