I'm on Mojave.

When watching a 4k video video in Chrome my Vega 64 jumps up to 350W (!!) power usage.

When watching the same video in Safari, the consumption doens't go over 50W.

Any clues on how to fix this?

Under Settings > Advanced > System

Disable hardware acceleration.

This results in 500W power consumption according to monitor (300W real life with power meter), so makes matters worse. Sorry
