You can notice that the lowest brightness level before black screen is much brighter compared to 10.10. Install the latest PBI CE or ACPIBacklight.kext will fix that.

That actually depends on the kind of backlight patch you have for PNLF.

For the Probook, which is using LMAX=0, that is probably the case. Changing LMAX=0x710|0xad9 (to match framebuffer) will fix that.

When using ACPIBacklight.kext, it is best to keep LMAX=0. It eliminates a slight blink at startup.
