Unmibeast 1.7 installation failure

Hi there,

I have been trying to do a clean install on a new build machine, using ML on my MBA as the source to format USB and install Unibeast.

Despite checking all of the usual items (language, permissions, etc.) it simply will not install - I have attached the error log for information. Could someone please take a look and try and shed some light? As a precaution, I am also downloading the ML install file again from the app store.

It looks like your copy of the Install OS X Mountain Lion.app is bad or the destination USB drive is bad.

I would try a different USB stick first then download Mountain Lion again.

Thanks for the speedy reply.

As suggested, I tried a different USB and also downloaded the ML installation file again.

Again I got errors - attached is the latest error log.

It can't write to your USB.

Are you formatting the USB as in the guide: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.co.uk/2011/10/unibeast-install-mac-os-x-lion-using.html before running Unibeast?

Hi there

Yes i am; partitioning as OSX journaled, MBR ticked in options. Tried it with 3 different USB thumb drives - one of which i used for the old manual (i.e. pre-unibeast) method for getting Lion onto a USB installer

I'll try all 3 sticks again - partition, unibeast, etc...

tried all 3 - still no joy.......
