Unable to Install Catalina through open Core 0.7.9

Hi, I have two problems. My system specs are as bellow.
MB: Asus TUF B550
CPU: Ryzen 3600
Ram: 32 GB
GPU: AMD 5500XT 8 GB

Secure Boot, Fast Boot are disable.

I have created almost 5 or 6 EFI's through windows (online install) but unable to install Cataline.
In one EFI i am able to see Install Macos option but when i opt it, it gives me ocb: LoadImage failed - Unsupported (0.7.9 Release)
In 2nd EFI, i am not getting an option to install MACOS. (0.7.9 Debug Release)


Both EFI's are attached. Would appreciate your help.

Try booting with this OC 0.8.0 EFI, which has been set for use by an AMD 6-core CPU with a B550 motherboard and AMD RX 5000 series GPU.

See if this gets you past the issues you have been facing.

I think the problem is with offline installer, when I put your EFI in offline installer, I did not get MACOS install option, when I put it in online installer (created through MACOS), I am able to see MAC OS and proceed with installation.

Now I am getting Kernal Panic. Pic is attached if you could help.

Try this EFI-2 folder in place of the previous one.

Make sure you use the EFI folder as it is, i.e. rename it to EFI and use the complete folder, not parts of it.

See if that gets any further in the boot process.

Yes i understand i have to place EFI folder without any modification. I did that, I think I got same error.

Looks like NvmeFix.kext is causing an issue.

Try this EFI-3 and see if the removal of the NvmeFix.kext helps.

Sorry for late reply, i created BIG SUR USB to try it with your EFI.

I have the same error with EFI-3+Catalina.

Got a different error with EFI-3+BigSur.

I will try to load it with minimum KEXT (LILU + VirtualSMC + WhateverGreen) and see if it will work.

The screen image above shows your system is having issues with the NVME driver. So you may need to add NvmeFix.kext to the /EFI/OC/Kexts folder and a corresponding entry in the config.plist.

See EFI-4 below, which has been updated with the latest version of NvmeFix.kext.

FYI.
Your AMD Ryzen system's essential kexts should include the following:

1. Lilu.kext
2. VirtualSMC.kext
3. WhateverGreen.kext
4. AppleMCEReporterDisabler.kext (required for recent versions of macOS Monterey)
5. RestrictEvent.kext

There are only three unessential kexts in the EFI-3 setup, one of audio and two for CPU power management. So hardly frivolous.

The OC config.plist is set to work with Catalina, Big Sur and Monterey.

Thanks for the explanation.

I got exactly same issue after putting EFI-4. If the issues is with NVME, I can try replacing NVME with SSD.

Last year I was able to install Catalina on X570+R9 3900X+SSD, but never tried SSD on R5 3600+B550.

I have replaced my Skyhynix M.2 with Kingston SSD and able to install MACOS. Looks like Skyhynix is not compatible with MACOS.

I really appreciate your time and and effort given to me.

I am attaching final EFI folder which i am using right now, i have two problems, using Intel AX200 wireless card with built-in bluetooth. Wifi works well but bluetooth does not work.

I am using Voodoo kext, but my apprently sound settings does not work, lucky i have speakers in my monitor so i have to plug my headphone with it.
