Turning on the Mic, UD3

Newbie issue: Installed using new Tonymac CD, and all works well on audio except for the mic. I have one connected but nothing is coming through.

Is there anything I should be doing with MultiBeast to enable it?

No, no way via MultiBeast as long as you installed LegacyHDA.kext.
You might want to have a look under the audio settings and see which audio recording devices is selected as default. Also, it's likely that only the rear Mic port works.

Thanks for the quick response. Brace yourself for a newbie question:
How do I install that kext? Where do I get it from? How do I know which kext to choose?

BTW: I am using the rear mic plug

It's part of the MultiBeast installer, so if you install audio for your motherboard and use the DSDT file, it should just work.

Look at the manual for your MB and see what audio chip it has then choose that one in multibeast.
