Hi

Okay, the rules say that I shouldn't ask for help relating to AMD cards, but please, hear me out. What I'm about to say is rather....

In Linux there's a thing called vgaswitcheroo used for turning off the discrete (ex. HD7670M) card, so the laptop won't burn one's balls.

My question is, can I do that in Hackintosh? The thing is really hot. My BIOS doesn't offer any option to turn it off.

Thanks.

AMD GPUs are supported here just fine. It is AMD CPUs that are not supported.

You can turn it off via SSDT/DSDT edits. Here is a recent example: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks-laptop-support/136072-disable-nvidia-card-save-battery.html.

Search the forums for additional examples.
