Text soup, then black screen while running Clover installer (Catalina)

Hi, and thanks in advance for reading.

First, the equipment:
Installing OS Catalina
i7 9700k
AMD Radeon RX 5700XT
"ROG STRIX Z390-E Gaming" Motherboard

I:
- waded into my BIOS, adjusting the default settings according to the basic guide,
- added SSDT-EC.aml to the EFI/CLOVER/patched folder,
- made sure I wasn't using USB 3,
And it only took me six hours spread across two days to figure out! I was feeling pretty great about myself, but I've now hit a wall of text followed within seconds by a blank screen [attached], and I've got no idea how to even diagnose the issue.

My friend said that he encountered a similar issue and had to change video outputs mid-installation because it wouldn't show the install screen over HDMI; I tried switching to DVI to no avail.

I appeal to you, Internet! Any advice or guidance would be deeply appreciated.

With a Radeon RX 5700XT you should install Lilu.kext and WhateverGreen.kext then boot with agdpmod=pikera.
