Using hwmonitor make my system to freeze and need to force restart. To fix this need to boot in safe mode to remove hwmonitor from bar.
Seems to be related with FaceSMC plugins, maybe problem with my msi gtx 660 ti.

This is a known bug that only effects Kepler based video cards and has been reported to the developer.

There's some pretty serious bugs in PlugIns/ACPISensors.kext (if you use it) that I have fixed and reported to the developer as well...

I have this problem on my system. How do I fix it? I started a thread myself yesterday, and I have posted everything I've tried so far on that thread.

I have a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti, so I assume it causes the same problem since it's a Kernel based card as mentioned in an earlier post.

If your issue is with the FakeSMC plugins, you can do one of two things:

1. Remove or don't install the FakeSMC plugins. To remove, in Terminal:
Code:
sudo rm -r /System/Library/Extensions/FakeSMC.kext/Contents/PlugIns
sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions

2. Update to the latest build of kozlek's FakeSMC.kext: https://github.com/kozlek/HWSensors
(installer pkg is in Installer directory)
