Hi all,
I initially struggled when trying to update my existing 10.8.5 to 10.9. I saw a repeat of a similar problem I'd had when going from 10.8.3 to 10.8.5.
When I updated my existing build, I got stuck in a reboot loop, Chimera got started but instantly the system rebooted back to BIOS. The only way I'd been able to get from 10.8.3 to 10.8.5 was to stay at Chimera 2.1 which I figured wasn't an option for 10.9
In the end, the solution was to re-partition, do a clean install using the standard Unibeast method and then use migration assistant to recover my details from the SuperDuper'd backup I'd made of my system SSD.
Everything seems to be working fine.
[UPDATE: USB3 doesn't seem to work]
Good luck
