I have a question with regards to the spare drive. Is it absolutely necessary? Can't you just boot into your clone and migrate from there or install onto the the 2nd hard drive (which was previously the clone) and migrate off the original?

Wouldnt another option be to upgrade to ML on your existing setup and plug that drive into your new system, boot with unibeast and use multibeast with the updated selections?

Have you tried "PCIRootUID=0" on bootup from the USB stick.

I have changed out both my H55 and P55 installations with GA-Z77H-UD5H boards.

on each occasion, initial booting from USB stick would result in a black screen at graphics hand -over time.

Solution:
Choose PCIRootUID=0 as a boot argument when booting from the USB stick i.e when booting the installer and when booting the new installation of mountain lion prior to installing Chimera/Multibeast.

After you have installed Chimera/Multibeast onto the new Mountain Lion installation, you should not have to use the PCIRootUID=0 argument when booting the new installation.

don't forget to boot with GE=No and edit your plist accordingly if using GTX6xx

Good luck.
