“still waiting for root device” SATA issue

I am completely stumped on trying to fix this issue…. (Keep in mind I am not using a UFEI capable mobo, not sure if that has anything to do with it)

Every time I try to boot from ANY of my sata ports, I get the prohibited sign and “still waiting for root device” error…. I have my sata configured in bios as AHCI and have plug n play enabled, during installation it detects my drive but when I try to boot into MacOS it stops during the usb initialization and doesnt recognize anything connected to sata, I’ve also tried the following:

1. SATA-unsupported.kext
2. AHCIPortInjector.kext
3. Catalina patched AppleAHCIPort.kext

The only "workaround" I've had luck with is using a USB to sata adapter and plugging my SSD into a usb socket, but the system is completely unusable because of how slow the disk is when plugged in via usb.....

There are also lots of other issues, but this is the biggest one I'm trying to fix right now... I have also attached my EFI as well just in case
