[SOLVED - Noob mistakes] Unable to install LION

Hi all,

I m trying to upgrade snow leopard (vanilla) to lion following http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2011/07/ ... -lion.html.

I tried 3 times but all times i get error saying cant download additional components so it can't be installed

did anybody faced similar problem

UPDATE

I dont know exactly what was the problem, i was using a DMG image i was getting error. I tried installing using via a disk it worked fine.

But now stuck at chimera boot loader, it wont show me Installer, directly boots into Mac Drive, how change that

Got to change the chimera boot loader drive by clicking any key, now stuck with this rainbow loading symbol not going anywhere

Got over this by copying fakesmc.kext from my S/L/C folder to Installer S/L/C folder

Eventually success - mac lion in my laptop

additional components are needed by installation of lion server...
you should have a look, if your version is right..?
