(SOLVED) Chimera 1.5 boot problem

Re: Chimera 1.5 boot problem

I didn't try upgrading to Chimera 1.5
All I did was make a bootable USB stick with Chameleon 1495 on it and it is working fine. Chimera seems to work well for some people, but in the long run it appears to be very buggy and not really ready for prime time over a broad array of MB's. Through past failures, I've learned to stick with Chameleon even if it is on a USB stick.

Hope this helps.

Re: Chimera 1.5 boot problem

I'm happy to report that a chameleon upgrade did the trick!

So I'm up and running again and I won't touch it anymore :p

Thanks all for your support!

Glad to hear it worked (don't forget to rename to SOLVED :D )

How is this solved? Chimera 1.5 is borked, so install Chameleon again... thats the solution? LOL ok.

I'm going to bump this thread again... hoping someone can shed some light on Chimera 1.5-1.7...

I've been running Lion with 1.4.1 no problem, and have pretty much abandoned this entire forum. Recently though, I gave 1.7 a shot to see if it fixed anything and the same thing happens - my drive spin down and I get "waiting for root device" (similar to the old IDE/AHCI problems of years ago).

Anyhow... just a last ditch effort to see why this is happening.
