Hey guys,

I'm planning on buying a fan controller, and after researching for a few hours, I figured out that I wanted a fan controller that could automagically (lol) control my fans as the system needs it. I was thinking about the T-Balancer bigNG but I haven't seen it available anywhere.

So here is a list if you don't want to read the paragraph:

Turn down/off fans as needed
Temperature sensors (pretty sure this is needed for the auto function)

I was looking at the Aerocool Touch 2000, does that do those features above?

Re: Fan Controller Advice

Most of the controllers will have temperature probes, and then if you put it in AUTO mode it will actively adjust fans according to temp. It's very shotty though and doesn't seem to always work correctly at least on my NZXT unit (29.00 POS).

When I buy my next one I'm gonna go with a pure analog one like the scythes, all the fancy displays and temp read out just = unreliability. I've had this digital one just completely shut off on me and it's working again now but for how long?

The one I own.

Analog types like these are what I recommend.

Re: Fan Controller Advice

Thanks. I'll definitely look at these.

Any analog one, those are just examples. Some have great luck with the digital ones but think about it, that circuit is in there all day long acting as a high wattage resistor, after a week my NZXT unit has a flickering screen, sometimes the LEDs in my fans flicker too. I'm literally waiting for it to fail right now, I plugged my radiator fans direct just for now so I don't fry my cpu if it dies.

GO ANALOG!

Thanks, but I finally found what I was looking for, the T-Balancer bigNG. This will control my fans and a couple temperature probes and I don't need to control it, which means no faulty touch screens, all I have to do is go into my windows partition and configure the settings to my liking. If you're curious, and watched a lot of youtube videos, LinusTechTips has one of these in his personal build and it works great (to the point where most of his fans are off). Anyway, thanks and this is one more thread SOLVED

P.S. Here is the link for the T-Balancer bigNG http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/ ... s_id=20837
