Hi all I have had my hackintosh up and running for about for months everything working well. I just did a black magic speed test on my SSD and got 520 read 200 write, and i know it's advertised something like 500 read 500 write. So I Google hackintosh slow SSD write speed and I found a form that had people with the same problems last post was from about 6 months ago and no one found a fix for it. So I was wondering if anybody has any good ideas about this.

Any help much appreciated :)

Oh ya maybe it is supposed to be that way. I guess I should have gotten the ocz vertex with read speeds of 550 and write speeds of 500.
Does it really make a difference to have that fast of a write speed

most of your data will be read off your SSD so it's not that big of a deal. you were better off going with Crucial's M4 which has legendary stability/performance compared to OCZ's track record lately.

yes, they can. in RAID0 with SSDs they can do +1GB/sec.
