I have noticed when I connect to my network cable to my LAN port, I'm only getting speeds of 100 megabits/sec and not 1000 megabits/sec. My router supports gigabits speeds as i have seen on my dell precision m6600 laptop. How can I correct that?

I have ML 10.8.2 installed with older probookinstaller v6.0. My machine is HP probook 4530s i5

thanks

Since you see this with PBI v6.0, you're using lnx2mac RealtekRTL81xx.kext for ethernet. I've not seen lnx2mac auto-negotiate 100mbps on my gigE connection, but then again, I don't use the hardwire net very often with my laptop.

You should probably check your SysPref -> Network -> Ethernet -> Advanced -> Hardware. Also in there you could try setting it to manual, 1000baseT, full-duplex and see what happens.

Also, there is a new RealtekRTL8111.kext by Mieze currently in the ProBook Installer v6.1. See: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook/93732-new-kexts-proposed-probook-installer-v6-1-a.htm
