Real imac New HD problem

Hi i just upgraded my imac 24" running Snowleopard
with a 2TB western Digital Green HD and during partition/format
in drive utility it gets stuck at 50% and crashes disk utility

I would hit up the Apple support.

But I do know that you have to bring your partition down too 1TB or less to install OSX
Also the Green HDDs cause issues with installing OSX. I don't remember exactly where I saw that but if you search it up you might find cation in using a Green Drive.

typed my serial and problem then got asked to open my wallet !
no apple care no apple support !

tried it via 2x 1tb parts aswell and freezes at same spot

Moved to iMac subforum.

im guessing it's fu*ked from so many failed attemps of trying to format it
