"Problem" Error Messages

In macOS Mojave, after restarting, and booting back into the OS, I receive the messages: "You shutdown your computer because of a problem. " and "Your computer was restarted because of a problem. " I did NOT receive these messages when I was using macOS Sierra. I am wondering if anyone can tell me what's going on, or why.

System specs:
Intel Core i7 4820K
Asus P9X79-E WS
Nvidia GeForce GT 610

go to Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports

delete any and all files with sleep in the title

empty trash

reboot
