Powercolor X1900GT, how to make it work ?

Hi everyone,

I've successfully installed Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.3 but I have a problem with my X1900GT Powercolor. I can't make it recognized by Snow Leopard.

I've tested different Kext, Chameleon GE, and EFI Studio but nothing works.

Can someone please help me ?

When I installed SL onto my PC I had similar problems with my X1900Xt card. I had full resolution but no QE/CI enabled, so Aperture and iMovie would not start.

Efi String and other kext did not help, but the I read somewhere, that I had to delete from System/Library/Extensions the ATIRadeonX2000.kext and repair permissions afterwards.

That helped and now it works fine for me. Only problem is that up to now I don't have dualscreen support, but hey I'm also new to this (2 weeks), and maybe someone gives me a solution.
