Possible to make Hackintosh Apple TV?

Hi! I am wondering if it would be possible to make a computer and instead of installing OSX or Windows on it, installing the software for an Apple TV. You could use small case and be able to stream information from your hackintosh or phone onto your TV.

Why? its never gonna be as small and cheap as a real apple tv.

If you want airplay functionality for video , I believe XBMC (or whatever it called now) does it, so just intall that on a pc.
