Hi, i'm new in this forum (and in the awesome hackintosh world), i am trying to get a proper build to get my brand new hackintosh. When i saw this forum with the desire of so many people to help, i didn't hesitate to register and post my doubts.

Well, i was thinking in buying:

mother board:

Gigabyte ga p55 ud3l socket 1156
http://cgi.ebay.com/GIGABYTE-GA-P55-UD3 ... 2254wt_905

or

Intel DP55WB P55 Express LGA1156
http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/m ... erview.htm
(this one helps a little more than the other because i'm planning to use a firewire device)

---

proccesor: intel i5 2,66 Ghz. 8mb Cache Lga 1156

http://cgi.ebay.com/Intel-BX80605I5750- ... 392wt_1139

--

ram: 4gb kingston ddr3 1333 ghz, (looking forward to get 8 gb)

http://cgi.ebay.com/Kingston-4GB-DDR3-1 ... 1363wt_905

---
video card, dvd/cd device: don't have anything in mind yet, it isn't my priority

----

How about it, do you have any tip, or correct any mistake?

Thanks in advance!

Get the Gigabyte if anything.

thanks vendetta, i'll get the Gigabyte.

on the other hand i'm planning to get a Focusrite saffire pro 24 audio interface (http://www.focusrite.com/products/audio ... ire_pro_24), do you know if it'll work, or if someone managed to install it properly?

pd: do you know a good and compatible cd/dvd burner?

thanks again!

The Gigabyte motherboard you chose does not include a Firewire port. The Gigabyte motherboards that have Firewire are supported OOB.

thanks for answering; should it be a problem in osx86 instaling this pci adapter?

Should work since it uses the same TI chipset as the Gigabyte motherboards.
