There's no guide here for installing ML on Z77X-UD5H, that's y I made this though it's not 100% perfect.
1. Updated BIOS to F8 (Installed Windows 7 using wintoflash usb method, downloaded Biosupdate F8 & @bios from Gigabyte, installed @bios, unpacked F8 and used @bios to update the bios)
Comment: I don't know if this plays a role or not
2. Installed ML using Unibeast method
3. I ran Multibeast three times
Comment: When ever I run Multibeast I check on system utilities, I don't know if it really matters or not
1-st run: DSDT, system utilities, Patched AppleHDA/ALC898, maolj's AtherosL1cEthernet, MacPro 3,1 (Reboot)
Comment: DSDT installs all the necessary kexts like fakesmc.kext, etc. Read the details in Multibeast. Sound didn't work so I went on second run to fix this.
2-nd run: system utilities, Non-DSDT HDAEnabler/ALC898 (No Rebootj, sound works)
Comment: Just to enable sound, Headphone jack didn't work, but two rear side ports are working.
3-rd run system utilities, Misc/patched…/OS X 10.7.4 Ivy Bridge (Reboot)
Comment: may be it's useless, I was thinking this may fix issues with sleep & shutdown
3. Enabled inbuild HD4000 by running Chimera (Reboot)
Now I had two major issues; sleep and shutdown doesn't work, here's the simple fix
4. Enter BIOS setting and change the following
Peripherals:
xHCI mode is set to Auto
make sure that xHCI and EHCI Hand-off is enabled
Init Display First IGFX
Power Management
A little tip here is to disable Wake on LAN
5. iCloud works for following this guide
http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-...3-icloud-mountain-lion-issue-unable-sign.html
What is working:
inbuilt graphics, sound only from two ports, sleep, shutdown, iCloud, apple store, software update
I can't get my Asus bluetooth toggle working, I don't have kext for this. I didn't check USB 3, HDMI, Firewire, etc
I have included the screened of Multibeast, hope this helps newbies
HD is connected to SATA 3 port rather than STATA6 port, somewhere in the forum it's suggested to use SATA3 port.
