P55A-UD4 and F9 BIOS with Network Speed [SOLUTION-SOMETIMES]

Hi All,

I've just updated to the F9 BIOS version for my board. Just a quick heads up that in order to get the 1Gb network connection properly working I had to go into the BIOS and run the SMART LAN routine.

On the F7 BIOS I just chose a 1Gb link speed manually and that did the trick; but with F9 there is obviously more at play...

Anyway hope that helps you if you get the same issue.

Long and short of it, it doesn't always work. After a period of time my switch suddenly decides I don't have a 1Gb card anymore.

My link changes to orange and drops back to 100Mb
